The YORK Broad Street Bar is built for serious strength training and powerlifting, offering superior rigidity and durability. Made from high-grade North American steel, this 7’ bar features a 1500 lb weight capacity and a 29 mm diameter, making it ideal for squats, bench presses, and deadlifts.

Engineered with minimal flex, the bare steel finish provides a natural feel and excellent grip while allowing for a controlled lift. The precision-machined 1.975” sleeves securely accommodate 2” Olympic plates, and the bar end nut and spring pin locking system ensures long-term stability. With a minimum tensile strength of 185,000 PSI, this bar is a powerhouse for controlled, heavy lifts and Olympic weightlifting training.

Please Note

  • This is a bare steel bar and will require maintenance to keep it performing at its best. This bar will patina overtime and take on a brown coloration. This color change is a natural part of the aging process. The Broad Street bar should not be stored in a humid environment and should be wiped down after each use. For more in depth cleaning instructions please see below.

Maintenance Instructions
  1. Brush the bar down with a Nylon Bristle Brush to get everything caked into your bar out.
  2. Apply 3-in1 oil in streaks along your knurling. The more rust you notice the more oil you will need.
  3. Grab your Nylon Bristle Brush and start scrubbing the area that you just placed the oil. Your goal is to evenly spread the oil to help penetrate any rust spots.
  4. Wipe off any excess lubricant.
  5. Set a New PR with your cleaned bar!
